June is already over, which means, we are halfway through the year! 2020 has definitely been a rollercoaster of events and feelings, but we have to hope things will get better and our world will heal. The last few days I have been captured by Paulo Cohelo’s books. As I mentioned in my monthly wrap for May’s readings, I admired Cohelo’s writing after reading”Veronika Decides to Die” and the incredible message I learned from it. So I figured I had to read Paulo Cohelo’s worldwide best-selling novel “The Alchemist.”

Review: Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Exciting, intriguing, charming and edge-of-the-seat reading!

“Cinder” is the first book in the Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer. It is a beautiful retelling of the classic fairytale, Cinderella. I can begin to explain how much I appreciated this incredible novel 🙂 . I loved the character’s developments, the thrilling plot and the stunning world Marissa Meyer builded.

Review: Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Shadow and Bone has become one of my favorites reads of the year.

Shadow and Bone is book one in the Grisha Trilogy. I was astounded when I read this book. I can’t even begin to explain how much I loved the world Leigh created, the fascinating characters and the storyline they followed. Leigh Bardugo’s writing style and the amazing universe she created is perfect (*cheff kiss*). The Grishaverse.
